Welcome to our supervision page!

We are passionate about chaplains, pastoral carers, pastors and leaders having good support and engaging in personal and professional development.

Professional Pastoral Supervision is a great way to engage in transformational learning, reflective practice and holistic self-care.

To have someone to meet with every 4 – 8 weeks in a safe confidential space to reflect on your ministry, to get encouragement, support and to gain a broader perspective on situations you may be facing.  To assist you to identify what you love to do, your calling, your core values and to better understand why you respond and react the way you do in certain circumstances.  It can also assist with skills training and learning pathways.

Chaplaincy Australia Recognised Supervisors are trained professional supervisors experienced in providing pastoral supervision. You can find them on the pages below.

Chaplaincy Australia Supervision Interns are those who have completed supervision training but are still needing to gain enough hours providing supervision to be recognised as a supervisor.  Interns do not charge for their services.

If you would like to apply to become a Recognised Chaplaincy Australia Supervisor or Supervision Intern you can apply online below.

To become a Professional Supervisor you will need to undertake Supervisor Training.  This is held at Alphacrucis College – Click here for more information.  https://www.ac.edu.au/awards/graduate-certificate-professional-supervision-clin/

Vivienne Mountain

Vivienne Mountain

Recognised Supervisor

Vivienne comes from a background in education- primary, secondary and tertiary. Chaplaincy has been a more recent focus leading to Counselling and Supervision. Her doctoral research into children’s perception of prayer came from the awareness that even for children not exposed to a faith community, prayer was something that could help in time of need. Masters studies in Theology and Creative Arts have added to her background understanding and skills. She believes that creativity is an asset in both counselling and supervision where accessing right brain wisdom can often clarify difficult issues.
Her therapeutic methodologies are eclectic: Creative arts, play therapy, existential psychotherapy, narrative theory, psychodynamic therapy, systems theory, positive psychology and attachment focused therapy. These various forms of intervention are overshadowed by the relationship of love from the Holy Spirit.
